Bob Dylan is one of the greatest songwriters and lyricists in the history of music. Aside from his music, Dylan was also a natural poet and has always had such a way with word. Last year he was honored with the Nobel Prize for Literature, which solidified the importance of his words.
Now, people are putting a monetary value on Dylan’s words, and recently his original, handwritten lyrics for his iconic classic rock tune “Like A Rolling Stone” have hit the auction market, and are going on sale for a fan, or rich millionaire to purchase. You would have to be rich in order to buy this artifact. It’s rumored that the starting bid for the lyrics is $125,000. That’s a ton of money, but it’s only 10% of what someone bought of Dylan’s in 2014. Three years ago, a man paid $2 million for four sheets of paper Dylan used as scratch paper for his songwriting.
