Led Zeppelin would love this

A lot of people believe that rock music’s glory days are in the past. But truth be told, rock music is still very well alive. You just need to take the time out of your day to listen and look for new things. Don’t completely close your mind and only rely on the older music, because a lot of today’s rock acts get swept under the rug, even though they take direct inspiration from bands of the past.

A great example of this, is the band Alabama Shakes.

Fun Fact: Alabama Shakes are a GRAMMY Award-winning rock, blues, soul and alternative band. Their sound takes inspiration from Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Muddy Waters, and Janis Joplin.

Fronted by Brittany Howard, this band is incredibly talented and always serves up an amazing performance of raw talent.

During their early years, the band covered Led Zeppelin’s “How Many More Times” at a club show, and completely shut it down with a phenomenal performance. Everything from the drums, guitar, bass and Howard’s voice was on point, and was a Led Zeppelin tribute done right!

Check out the performance down below, and be sure to check out more of the Alabama Shakes’ work! They’re amazing!
