You would have had to been hiding under a rock for the last 40 years if “Let’s Stay Together” wasn’t a staple in your music catalog.

Al Green has a way of just making you feel good. The second he starts to sing the first few words… “I’m… I’m so in love with you“… the crowd goes absolutely insane. They are on their feet, singing, dancing, and smiling.

“Let’s Stay Together” was released in ’72 on the album of the same name. “Let’s Stay Together” was released as a single and went as far as reaching the number eleven song of 1972!

The song reached many different charts, and also was recognized and selected by the Library of Congress as a 2010 addition to the National Recording Registry. The registry selects recordings annually that are “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant“.
