Your Love Is Sweet!

“Cryin'” was written by Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Taylor Rhodes. It was released on June 20, 1993 in the US and on October 5, 1993 in the UK as a single for Aerosmith’s 11th studio album “Get A Grip.” Their music video featured Alicia Silverstone, Stephen Dorff and Josh Holloway.

  • Certified Gold by the RIAA
  • Number 1 on the US Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks
  • Number 60 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Year-end Chart

The music video for the song, directed by Marty Callner, features the first appearance of Alicia Silverstone in the band’s videos, as well as the band performing in the Central Congregational Church in Fall River, Massachusetts. The Central Congregational Church also happens to be the same church that Lizzie Borden attended.

Their music video was a huge success and received heavy airplay on MTV. In 1993, it became one of the most requested videos and also earned them several awards during the VMAs such as the Video of the Year, Viewer’s Choice, and Best Group Video.

In this particular clip, Aerosmith performed onstage with American singer-songwriter Christina Milian for the 2005 movie “Be Cool.” It’s a great version of this classic song!
