It Was Love At First Bite!

“Adam’s Apple” was written and arranged by Steven Tyler and released by Aerosmith on April 8, 1975 for their third album “Toys in the Attic.” It’s basically the band’s version of the story of Adam and Eve in the Bible. Of course, knowing Tyler, the lyrics had to be very interesting.

At one point, Steven Tyler wanted to name the album “Love At First Bite” after the line in this song, “Lordy it was love at first bite.”

The album received critical acclaim and was even ranked at 229 on “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time” list by The Rolling Stone magazine. It was certified 8× Platinum by the RIAA and Platinum by the CRIA. It also peaked at number 11 on the US Billboard 200.

Greg Kot called the album a landmark of hard rock.
