All Signs Are Pointing To A Reunion!

Recently, Gene Simmons said that he was just with Ace Frehley and that the two of them wrote two songs together at Ace’s house. Not only that, but apparently, according to both parties, they had a great time. Why is this news? Well, incase you’ve been living under a rock, Ace Frehley has not exactly been on the best of terms with Gene Simmons or Paul Stanley for that matter.

Since Ace’s departure from KISS many years ago, people have been chomping at the bit for a KISS reunion, yet it never came. So to hear that these two are supposedly back on good terms gives fans a bit of reassurance. Hear what Ace had to say about working with Gene again.

Ace talking with Eddie Trunk: “I just shot him an e-mail and said, ‘C’mon, let’s write some songs together for my new record. Next thing you know, he’s down here at my house in Rancho Santa Fe, California and within three hours we had written two songs together, which was, like, a record, for me and him. We ate in the backyard while I was watering my palm trees. (Alprazolam) He was going to my fiancée Rachel, ‘This is something new I’ve never seen before.’ He’s eating a sandwich and I’m watering a palm tree in my backyard. But it was a lot of fun.”

“We initially each picked up an acoustic guitar. I don’t remember who came up with the beginning of the song. One guy plays one thing and then I play another thing. I think Gene actually came up with more ideas than I did and I just kind of complemented them, and then I started writing lyrics for a song title, which I don’t wanna give away yet. And then we kind of took a break and then he started playing this bass line and said, ‘Ace, play these three chords against it,’ and within thirty minutes we had a second song. I was really pleased, and so was he.”

Now, of course, this is just one interaction, but they wrote two songs together and hung out. If you ask me, this breaks a lot of ice and is a sure sign of things to come in the future. With all of that being said, Ace Frehley is only half the battle. One other former member that would need to get back in touch is Peter Criss. Nevertheless it’s a HUGE step!
