Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have been married for an incredible 34 years now. Following recent rumors filled with drama of them getting a divorce because of Ozzy’s alleged infidelity, they both soldiered through the worst of it with lots of therapy and finally decided to get back together and we couldn’t be more thrilled at that! Ozzy owned up to his faults and shortcomings in terms of his addictions and his lack of faithfulness to his wife, and thankfully, Sharon willingly forgave him even if he is, in her own words “a dog, a dirty dog”. While they might not be your typical romantic couple, they do have some cute and cheesy moments that would make you doubt their dysfunctional hard rock personas.

1. Before we got to know them as core of a hilariously vulgar and dysfunctional family, they were just two silly youngsters in love goofing around.

Sharon Levy, who is the daughter of English music promoter and rock n’ roll entrepreneur Don Arden, was just 18 years old when she and 22-year old Ozzy Osbourne met in 1970. It was through her father that the two met, with Arden managing Ozzy’s band Black Sabbath under his record label Jet Records at the time. Sharon was sent by his father to Los Angeles to look after the well being of wild rocker Ozzy. The two started dating each other soon after. When Ozzy was fired by the band in 1979, Sharon took over his management from her father and helped Ozzy launch a successful solo career by recruiting a backing band and supervising the recording of Ozzy’s solo debut album “Blizzard of Ozz”.
2. Even during their wedding, they were totally being their sweet silly (yet oddly disturbing) selves.

Cue in the Hawaiian fireworks. Sharon and Ozzy got married in Maui, Hawaii on July 4, 1982 after two years of dating, but more than a decade after the two first met. Although they donned traditional wedding attire and uttered traditional wedding vows, there is definitely nothing traditional about their crazy rocker antics just like as they were in this silly wedding photo. No matter how counter traditional they are, they sure fought (and keep on fighting) to uphold the vows they said to each other on their wedding 34 years ago: to stand by the other for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, through sickness and in health, until death do they part.

In September 2, 1983, Sharon and Ozzy welcomed the birth of their first child Aimee Rachel. People maybe surprised to find out that Sharon and Ozzy have another child other than Kelly and Jack. There is a reason behind that. Aimee refused to take part in the MTV reality TV show The Osbournes which first aired in 2002. She was already 18 years old when the show had started shooting for which she decided to move out of her family’s house instead of being followed around by the cameras all the time. Unlike her famous family, she’s not one to get into trouble, even outside the public eye. Still, it’s known that Ozzy wrote a song for his eldest daughter in his album “Ozzmosis”. Recently, Aimee decided to come out of the shadows under the stage name ARO (her initials) to pursue a music career. Her parents, of course, came in full support.

Perhaps the most famous of Ozzy and Sharon’s children would probably be their second daughter Kelly who has gone on to have quite a flourishing career in the entertainment business. The heart of the reality show “The Osbournes” had a very public troubled teenage life. Garnering most of her fame from the reality show, Kelly went on to also follow in his father’s footsteps and pursued a (short lived) music career. She released a grungy pop punk album at the age of 17 but later went on saying she regrets it. She’s then tried her hand at being an actress, a television presenter, a fashion designer, and even appearing on Dancing with the Stars. Kelly has had a turn-around from being a rebel teen to an inspiring personality as she has advocated for body image issues and LGBT rights.

Ozzy and Sharon’s youngest child and only son Jack Osbourne was born on November 8, 1985. Yup, the Osbourne’s brood kept growing and growing every single year since the couple got married. Jack was only 15 years old when the filming of his family’s stint with the reality show in MTV “The Osbournes” started. Jack has had many battles with his health and learning abilities from a young age, being diagnosed with dyslexia at eight years old, and ADHD at the age of 10. Being exposed to the notorious rock n’ roll world of drugs and alcohol at such a young age, Jack’s first drunken experience was on his 13th birthday drinking whisky. He was already smoking weed by the time he was 14. Just like his sister Kelly, Jack made headlines because of underaged substance abuse in 2003. At 17, he was admitted to a child psychiatric ward for an addiction to OxyContin. In 2012, he was diagnosed with remitting multiple sclerosis which gave his famed rock parents an even bigger scare than it did him.

Let’s face the truth: Ozzy is a drunk. And with being drunk all the time comes disturbingly funny anecdotes about bad behavior. In this photo, Ozzy may be wearing tights but there was one time when he wore his wife Sharon’s nightgown. Ozzy got drunk one night (as usual) while touring in San Antonio, Texas. To keep him from going outside while he was drunk and out of his wits, Sharon took Ozzy’s clothes and hid them to hopefully keep him out of trouble. But Ozzy couldn’t get himself away from trouble even if he tried as he decided to put on one of Sharon’s frilly frocks instead and went outside their hotel for a walk. Late that night, Ozzy took a leak on the historical national monument of the Alamo, a sacred ground for Texans. When the cops found him urinating on their national monument, he was still dressed in drag, in Sharon’s frilly dress, and he was banned from San Antonio for a decade. For richer for poorer, in stupid and in smarts.
7. They even went together as Vampire and British-housewife-in- pink for Halloween. Adorable, right?

Sharon and Ozzy have been through a lot over the course of their marriage. Through high ups and the lowest of the low downs, it is amazing how they still managed to pull through. It’s more amazing to know that they even overcame Ozzy’s drugged out years when he almost killed his wife in 1989. At the height of Ozzy’s drug abuse, he came down the stairs in his underwear one night and sat beside his wife saying, “We’ve come to a decision. We’re very sorry but you’re going to have to die. There’s no other option.” Sharon, perplexed about Ozzy’s nonsense, tried to shrug it off but Ozzy went on and jumped on her and strangled her. Sharon was left screaming “The kids, the kids, you cannot do this, I’m not ready.” The next thing Ozzy knew, he was in jail, and he asked the police officer: “What am I here for?’ I hadn’t got a f—ing clue. ” Sharon did not press charges. That is true love.
8. They’re even cuter looking, erm, like normal people!

There was a time when Sharon and Ozzy were regular people gaining weight. Sharon, in particular, spent years struggling with it, like many of us do. But Sharon and Ozzy are not regular people, especially when dealing with those unwanted extra pounds. Mostly because she can, Sharon underwent a gastric bypass surgery in 1999 to lose said unwanted extra pounds, 125 lbs to be exact. She had an adjustable band put on her stomach but then had it removed in 2006 after gaining back 65 lbs. Now, Sharon admits she felt like a ‘cheat’ on having the surgery, saying, “I felt like such a cheat when I had that band on my stomach. It makes you vomit the whole time. Nothing goes down because it goes out.” She has now found that sticking to the low-carb Atkins diet is a better solution.

Sharon has kept Ozzy alive in more ways than one. Amidst countless rounds of being separated then getting back together again, through divorce rumors and affairs, through drunken nights and drug abuse, countless returns to rehab and therapy, Sharon still sticks by Ozzy’s side. She has kept him out of jail even if he blacked out and tried to kill her. Even on their wedding night Sharon has already been putting up with Ozzy when she got a call from the hotel staff informing her that her new husband was sleeping in the hallway and requesting her to remove him from the area. It’s a dysfunctional relationship but it’s a mighty hilarious give-and-take. Ozzy acknowledges that. He says of his wife, “Sharon was pretty p***ed off with me. She’d wait like a praying mantis to catch me out drunk or stoned.” He adds, “I freaked out. She’s the love of my life, and she’s also, like, the controller.”
10. Kissing in front of the cameras doesn’t even embarrass their daughter Kelly.

Kelly Osbourne can’t help but gush over at her mum and dad’s PDA on the red carpet. She’s confirmed that despite going through a cheating scandal and being on the verge of divorce, her parents remain married, saying AFTER being rocked by an alleged cheating scandal, Kelly Osbourne has revealed that her parents Sharon and Ozzy are still together. “My mom and dad are together right now.”
Of course, that doesn’t mean she’s condoning her dad’s behavior, adding
“That does not mean that I think what he did wasn’t f–ing stupid, but that’s between him and I. I’m a daddy’s girl. I love my dad.
At any point, Ozzy was willing to go to any lengths to repair his marriage with his wife. Sharon approved of Kelly’s support of her parents, saying
“She loves her mum and loves her dad so much and listen, I’m always proud of my girl. What are you going to do? Be angry with her because she loves her mum and dad?”

Ozzy and Sharon always manages to make things work between them despite all the difficult challenges thrown at their relationship. Time and time again Ozzy shows remorse for his naughty behavior and his addictions to alcohol, drugs, and sex, and always ends up at Sharon’s feet. Sharon, on the other hand, keeps taking Ozzy back time and time again. Isn’t that just the sweetest thing, yet totally frustrating at the same time. They’ve both had a flourishing career in the entertainment industry, three successful children, and two adorable grandchildren through their son Jack. Seeing these two out and about with their arms around each other on a casual walk just makes our hearts melt the same way our face melts when Ozzy takes the stage as the Prince of Darkness.

It’s gotta be true love that keeps Sharon Osbourne fighting for her marriage with Ozzy through the years. She has caught him cheating on her with their family’s ownnannies, with groupies, with a hairdresser and all of it under the media spotlight. She’s not only managed his career but also his own life. Their peculiar romance keeps passing a wide variety of tribulations. Sharon has proven over and over again her love for her wild and unruly husband as she has stated in an interview, “I love Ozzy dearly, you know. He’s given me an unbelievable life. He’s given me three gorgeous children. I love him.” It is a refreshing thing to witness the resilience of this couple’s relationship especially in the show business where it’s very rare to see marriages last long.

A fact that may surprise people is that Ozzy and the Biebs have a storied past. Well, sort of.
There was a time when Ozzy was left in his heavy metal classics past (aka 70s-80s) and had absolutely no clue about new and rising artists. He made that lack of mainstream pop culture knowledge public during a 2010 interview on the TV show “A Different Spin”. Host Mark Hoppus asked if Ozzy listens to a lot of Justin Bieber, to which Ozzy responds in the most hilariously “Ozzy” way possible, “Who the f*** is Justin Bieber?”. Osbourne’s quote on Bieber went viral! The next year, the two music icons went on to do a super bowl commercial including Sharon. In the TV ad for Best Buy, Bieber takes over Osbourne’s role to promote 4G saying “It’s Bieber 6G fever”. Then, Sharon asks “What’s a 6G?” and then Ozzy says a variation of his famous quote “What the f*** is a Bieber?” They sure all know each other well now.
14. To prove their undying love to each other, Ozzy surprised Sharon for her birthday with a bouquet of flowers and, uh, a make out session…on live TV.

Just a few weeks after announcing their reconciliation following their temporary split amidst Ozzy’s cheating allegations, Ozzy pulled an out-of-character sweet and touching surprise to his wife Sharon to celebrate her 64th birthday. Sharon, who was unaware about this surprise, was in the middle of a discussion on her daytime talk show “The Talk” when suddenly, the Black Sabbath hit “Crazy Train” started blasting. Ozzy then came out with a beautiful bouquet of flowers to Sharon’s utter flushed surprise. After they kissed, which progressed into making out, they sat down together in one chair and Ozzy pulled out a small black pouch containing a wedding band with diamonds all the way around. What a tooth-rottingly sweet gesture! Sharon was definitely caught off-guard by Ozzy’s romatic stunt. Their love maybe mad but it’s definitely real.
15. 34 years of marriage strong and seem to be enjoying senior citizen life together.

While the Osbournes did grow up as a family in the public eye, retirement seems to be imminent for the 67 year old rock singer and his 64 year old manager wife. They are now technically senior citizens already and are grandparents to two little girls Pearl and Andy Rose from their youngest son Jack and his wife Lisa Stelly. Sharon has recently taken some time off work to spend more time with her young grandkids. With 2016 being the “year of dying rockstars” as Ozzy himself put it, claiming the lives of Prince, David Bowie, Glenn Frey, Sharon wants her husband to retire before he turns 70. However, Ozzy isn’t quite ready to quit just yet saying,
“It’s not me that wants to retire; it’s Black Sabbath! I’ll be continuing my own musical thing. My wife is good at telling me partial information, y’know, but I know I’m not hanging ’em up for awhile.”
Sharon disagrees and says “I don’t want Ozzy singing ‘Crazy Train’ at 75. I think it’s best you go out before you hit that 70 and go out on top.”
